Avengers Assemble! Open Casting Call Announced for Marvel's Avengers Movie

Are you a comic book fan? Ever dreamed of hearing Captain America shout out the clarion call, "Avengers Assemble!" Well, if you have some free time on your hands, and you live in the New Mexico area, you might have the opportunity to do just that. Marvel Studios Extras Casting Director Maryellen Aviano recently put out an open call for extras to appear in The Avengers, Marvel's super-team movie that will bring together the heroes (and villain?) from the Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk movies to face one threat too powerful and terrifying for any of the heroes to confront on their own. According to the announcement, shooting will begin in late-April and continue through late-July.

    And Saturday, March 26: 10am-3pm

    This is the official extras casting call for “The Avengers” feature film held by Marvel Studios Extras Casting Director Maryellen Aviano.

    Scheduled to film Albuquerque area late April-late July.

    We’d love to hire as many NM residents as possible so please come well groomed & dressed in your business executive best!

    Pictures will be taken at no charge.

    Over 18 only, will accept current non-returnable pics of kids that can obtain work permits if necessary.

The Avengers was written by Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Dollhouse), who will also direct the movie. The all-star cast includes Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
