The director of The Avengers, Joss Whedon, spoke with Yahoo Movie s about the upcoming movie featuring Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk and more.

There were more than a few interesting tidbits, which you can check out in the original article, but here are a couple of the stand outs.

Whedon explained that in regards to Samuel L. Jackson's character, Nick Fury, Marvel presented a couple mandates. Seems Marvel wants the character to be presented in a specific manner.

Also -- and this is something that I was very pleased that Marvel actually mandated -- they were very interested in keeping him, not just in the sort of a mystery of how the organization operates, but a real moral gray area where you really have to decide, "Is Nick Fury the most manipulative guy in the world? Is he a good guy? Is he completely Machiavellian or is it a bit of both?" And that was really fun to tweak.

Whedon is asked about Mark Ruffalo, who plays The Hulk for the first time, and whether or not there is a freedom in being able to do something different with the character (for example, compared to Iron Man who has already been in two prior films).

Yeah, he and I did the most character work of anyone, because we really were starting fresh, but we were starting with something that had been embodied several times.

And both of us agreed upfront that the template for who we wanted this guy to be in his life was Bill Bixby, the TV [show character] who was busy helping other people. That was more interesting to us than the Banner in the first two movies who was always fixated on curing himself. We spent a lot of time talking about what makes us Hulk out, the nature of anger, how it feels.

We even fought some. I mean literally we actually got some pads out and did some tussling. Just to talk about the physicality, and also the physicality of somebody who has to control this thing, and the way he moves in space and the way he relates to the people and the objects around him. It was extremely fun. What we found was that he could be very bumbling and kind of awkward, but at the same time very graceful and in this almost transcendent control of himself.

Also, Whedon talks about keeping the action fresh and says that it was harder to do things for the god-like character, Thor, compared to a normal fellow like Hawkeye.

Yeah. Well, I feel like we pulled that off. At the end of the day, the guy with the bow and arrow is a lot easier to write gags for than the God. But we created a situation where everybody can be useful, and everybody can be in jeopardy, and they really can act as a team, even though -- as we have known from the first issue of 'The Avengers' comic -- there's no reason for these people to be on the same team.

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

Marvel Comics today announced that even though their new all-star superhero movie The Avengers won't debut in theaters until 2012, they will reboot it for 2013.

Said Avengers executive producer Avi Arad, "It's important to get an early jump and stake out our release dates." He added that the easiest way to do that and guarantee another hit movie for for the company is to remake a movie that's almost certain to be a hit.

Marvel's rationale is borne out by the facts of movie production and audience tracking. "Word of mouth on the first Avengers movie is Snakes On A Plane huge," Arad said. "But we've got superheroes."

Arad added that by the time the first Avengers film debuts in theaters and appears on DVD, enough people will have seen it that they will be clamoring for something new. But they'll also want something that's familiar and reliable so they don't feel like they've wasted the price of a movie ticket.

That's where the new Marvel strategy comes into play.

According to executive producer Louis D'Esposito, rapid advances in CG technology plus the increasing popularity of 3-D will transform the look of the reboot so it'll feel like a different experience. "It's like asking your wife to wear a blonde wig and stiletto heels for a special Saturday night. It's the same woman, but she looks brand new."

Stan Lee, who has a cameo in the upcoming first Avengers is looking forward to repeating it in the remake. Said the Smilin' One, "I'm hoping for a couple more lines of dialogue! Excelsior!"

When asked why Marvel would want to remake a movie that hasn't been released yet, Arad, who has also lent his touch to the Bratz franchise, said, "Creating a new superhero experience is hard work, and when you find one that works, it's better to just go back and reboot the original."

Arad cited George Lucas as someone who "cleared the path for all of us" with his multiple versions of the original Star Wars, and Ridley Scott who did the same with his alternate versions of Blade Runner.

Anticipating criticism from all corners, Producer Kevin Feige encouraged critics to be honest with themselves. "What would you rather see? An Avengers reboot or a brand new (ugh) Ka-Zar movie?"

According to Arad, Marvel executives first got the idea to remake The Avengers movie during post-production on the second Iron Man movie. "There's nothing wrong with Iron Man 2 that couldn't have been solved by just remaking the first one instead."

Remaking The Avengers also gives Marvel a chance to fix problems in the original script. Feige said, "We'd like to pass the Bechdel Test with at least one of our movies and an Avengers reboot gives us that chance." The "Bechdel" is the standardized entertainment test to determine if there are more than two women in a movie who talk to each other about something other than men.

Mark Ruffalo, the new Hulk, is excited about bringing additional nuance to his character in the remake. "I get tired of playing the good boyfriend in movies no one sees. Now I can play the same character differently twice. You used to only be able to do that onstage."

Ghost Rider's star Nicolas Cage was equally enthusiastic. "New, old, reboot, remake, sequel, 3-D, whatever. I think it's clear I'll do anything."

Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Firefly) is currently directing The Avengers. No director has been announced for the history-making reboot, but according to Arad, "the blueprint for the film will already there from Joss. We won't need anyone so high-powered or expensive for the new version."

A reboot of The Avengers would also be a boost to the movie's toy line. Arad said, "Sales start to drop shortly after a movie's release, but between the first movie, the DVD and the reboot and the DVD of the reboot, we should be able to hold sales steady over two Christmases."

The Avengers will debut in 2012. The Avengers remake is set for May 31, 2013. But those release dates may be swapped, Arad said. "It all depends on focus group testing. If it goes well, I could easily see a scenario where the reboot is released first."

Well, if you have some free time on your hands, and you live in the New Mexico area, you might have the opportunity to do just that. Marvel Studios Extras Casting Director Maryellen Aviano recently put out an open call for extras to appear in The Avengers, Marvel's super-team movie that will bring together the heroes (and villain?) from the Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk movies to face one threat too powerful and terrifying for any of the heroes to confront on their own. According to the announcement, shooting will begin in late-April and continue through late-July.

Black Confirms IRON MAN 3 Job

A month after rumors appeared online suggesting that Shane Black was coming on board to write and direct Iron Man 3, the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director has confirmed to fans he intends to reunite with lead star Robert Downey Jr. in the effort. Despite no official announcements of his involvement out of Marvel Studios nor Paramount Pictures, AICN reports that Black appeared at the Omaha Film Festival and answered the question as to his participation.

His answer to the fan was that he was meeting with Downey Jr. later this week and that the actor would be contributing to the story that Black has been set to write. The writer-director also confirmed that unlike last year's sequel, this third installment will have less of the superhero element and even less of two iron-clad players battling each other.

"Iron Man 3 will not be another 'two men in iron suits fighting each other' film. Instead, it will be more like a Tom Clancy-thriller, with Iron Man fighting real world villians."

There you have it, Maniacs. Black seems to be sure he has the job for writing and directing this third "Iron" adventure and already has a story in mind for the Marvel hero.

With Iron Man 3 set aside for a May 3, 2013 release, there's still some time for Marvel, Paramount and Black to develop the production.

At this point, we know very little about "Iron Man 3" except that "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" director Shane Black will direct the film. Will we finally see Tony Stark go up against Mandarin? Have we seen the last of War Machine? These are the questions that bother us so around Splash Page HQ.

When MTV News managed to catch up with Pepper Potts herself, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, we made sure to ask her what she knows about the next chapter of the armored Avenger's big-screen adventures. Apparently, she knows about as much we do...

"I haven't met [Shane Black] yet, no," Paltrow told MTV News.

"[Black is a] great writer," she continued. "I'll really miss Jon Favreau, but I'm sure Shane will be great."

And while it's no surprise that Paltrow hasn't had a chance to meet with the recently announced "Iron Man 3" director, the actress said she's not even sure if she'll be in the third film at this point.

"I don't even know if I'm in it, so we'll see," she said.

Of course, before the rumors start flying, it's worth noting that it's very, very early in the "Iron Man 3" development cycle at this point. With "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" arriving in theaters this year and "The Avengers" bringing the whole Marvel movie universe together in 2012, there's still a lot of time — and plot points — between now and the next time Tony Stark goes solo on the big screen.

Shane Black on Directing Iron Man 3

It was recently reported writer-director Shane Black, best known for writing the screenplay for Lethal Weapon and for directing Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, could be taking over directing duties on Marvel Studios' Iron Man 3 from Jon Favreau, who bowed out to direct Disney's Magic Kingdom instead. Now, Black himself has confirmed to TheWrap that he has been meeting with Marvel, but he said that it is premature to start listing him in connection with the movie just yet.

"Nothing has been decided yet. I've taken a few meetings and I'll probably take a few more before Marvel decides."

Black has shown interest in comic-based movies of late, signing with Columbia to direct a live-action adaptation of the pulp action hero Doc Savage last year and signing with Warner Bros. to direct an adaptation of the Japanese manga (comic) Death Note last month. Black seems like a good choice to take over the reins of the Iron Man franchise because of his prior experience with working with title star Robert Downey Jr. and producer Susan Downey on Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and because he is also a writer, a skill that would come in very handy on a movie franchise that is known for its improvised dialogue and last-minute script changes.

Iron Man Will Not Return Until 'The Avengers,' Says Jon Favreau

While the last scene in "Iron Man 2" sets the stage for the next movie from Marvel Studios, it appears that Robert Doweny Jr. will not reprise his role as Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) until "The Avengers" is released in 2012.

"[Downey's] not in 'Thor', he's not in Cap which are the two movies for next Summer," said "Iron Man 2" director Jon Favreau during an appearance on "The Kevin and Bean Show" from the Los Angeles based radio station KROQ (via Comic Book Movie). "It'll be very interesting to see how the Marvel Universe branches off. All of these movies are going to be taken into account for 'The Avengers' in two years."

"I'm not sure where 'The Avengers goes,' continued Favreau. "There is no shooting draft written yet. It's gonna be a big undertaking for Marvel to actually incorporate what happened in 'Iron Man,' 'Iron Man 2,' 'Thor,' 'Captain America' [and] 'The Hulk.' All that has to inform one unified vision in 'The Avengers.' It's a very exciting prospect. And certainly, Tony Stark is not going to be involved in any of the movies until that one."

Earlier this week, word broke that Joss Whedon has "tentatively agreed" to direct "The Avengers," potentially confirming the rumors that began circulating in April.

Favreau has previously said that Whedon would be a "great choice" to direct "The Avengers."

Favreau also shared his thoughts on whether "Iron Man 3" would be shot in 3-D.

"I have been testing the [3-D] gear out because we are discussing whether or not we want to do it on the next ['Iron Man'] film," related Favreau. "I know Marvel is looking into it on their movie. but for me personally for 'Cowboys and Aliens' we are looking at what the gear can hold up to because we are shooting out in the desert, which has never been done before with this type of gear. But I love watching movies that are done well in 3-D; I think it is very captivating."

"The Avengers" is set to be released in the summer of 2012.

I'm so excited to see "The Avengers." Since the time I saw Tony Stark appears at the end of the Incredible Hulk movie saying they are putting up a team; then also [almost at] the end of Iron Man 2 (Tony Stark was browsing some folders, including his), I've been waiting for news regarding when is the target release date for "The Avengers" movie. Well, now I know...two years to go people! =( ...When we had watched Iron Man 2, a lot of people didn't wait after the 'credits.' Iron Man 2 Easter Egg: Fin Fang Foom

There will be a big dragon villain in Iron Man 2 – and no, I’m not kidding. His name is Fin Fang Foom and he’s actually a classic villain from Iron Man’s comic book rogues gallery, and he definitely makes an appearance in the movie sequel.

And no, I’m still not joking. Our own Rob Keyes told us yesterday it was happening.

Super Robot Mayhem managed to get in touch with Adi Granov, who was the lead concept artist on Iron Man 2, and Granov was kind enough to tip fans off to a little Easter egg buried in the film: the appearance of Fing Fang Foom.

Not only did Granov let us know that Fin Fang Foom is in Iron Man 2, he also released the actual artwork he did for the character!

According to Granov, Foom will appear on a billboard that Iron Man is flying past, and that this particular Easter egg was a gift from director Jon Favreau to all the Shellhead fans out there.

This was my design for Fin Fang Foom for the Iron Man Viva Las Vegas book I was doing with Jon Favreau. But this image in particular was done for the IM movie and used as a billboard in one of the scenes whereIron Man flies past it. It’s very quick, but Jon wanted to have a kind of a cool easter egg in there.

Now I’m sure that we all (or at least most of us) can admit that no matter how cool this seems (or looks!), you definitely cannot have a huge dragon bad guy running around in the Iron Man universe Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr. and Co. have created onscreen. Just wouldn’t fit.

Unless, of course, you brought in The Mandarin as the villain for Iron Man 3… He could have an armored bodyguard whose suit was designed in the style of a fearsome ancient Chinese dragon named (you know it!) Fin Fang Foom…

For now, what we can definitely do is talk at length about how cool (or not) this concept art for Fin Fang Foom is! We can also keep our eyes peeled for the Easter egg moment in Iron Man 2 where Foom shows up onscreen and cheer for it, much to the bewilderment of the non-fanboys in theater.

Iron Man 2 will be in theaters May 7, 2010.

Iron Man 2 Will Be in IMAX

Today the IMAX Corporation, Marvel Entertainment, and Paramount Pictures released a joint press release stating that Iron Man 2 would hit digital IMAX theaters when the film is released this May.

According to the release, the IMAX release will be limited and achieved through digitally remastering "into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with IMAX DMR® technology."

What does that mean to you? You'll be able to see (and hear) Iron Man 2 better than you would in a normal theater in 35mm -- just don't be disappointed when you realize that the movie doesn't fill up the entirety of a true IMAX screen. Unlike The Dark Knight which had entire scenes shot with IMAX cameras, Iron Man 2 is undergoing a post-production jazzing up, much like Watchmen did in 2009.

Watching Iron Man 2 at IMAX is worth the money...as long as it is shot in IMAX!...What I know is, since it was not shot with IMAX cameras, it will be converted using their DRM technology. Avatar in IMAX 3D was amazing! So, unless something was shot for it, or is in 3D, it's not worth seeing it in IMAX.

War Machine Creator Describes His 'Iron Man 2' Set Visit And The Dispute He Settled While He Was There!

EDITOR'S NOTE: With "Iron Man 2" just a few months away from hitting theaters, MTV News contacted War Machine co-creator Bob Layton to discuss the character's upcoming debut on the big screen. The conversation covered a wide range of subjects that we're rolling out this week in a four-part series — continuing with today's tale of his "Iron Man 2" set visit and the disagreement he moderated while he was there.

Longtime “Iron Man” writer and artist Bob Layton is recognized as one of the most significant creators to chronicle Tony Stark’s adventures, so it's probably no surprise that he was called upon to help settle a creative disagreement between director Jon Favreau and star Robert Downey Jr. during his visit to the “Iron Man 2” set last summer.

“When I first got on the set, there was a dispute going on between Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. about [Jim Rhodes’] character,” Layton explained to MTV News. “That’s how I was introduced to them. It was like, ‘here’s the guy who helped created the character, why don’t we ask him?’"

"We got into this lively discussion in terms of how Jim Rhodes would react to a certain situation and we all came to some sort of agreement on that," he explained. "I basically acted as an arbitrator.”

“I can’t really tell you anything particular about the story,” continued Layton. “But there’s a point where Tony and Jim are in disagreement on something pretty major. They were trying to understand what Jim’s motivation would be in that situation. I was flattered that they asked me my opinion on it.”

Layton also revealed that he was present for the filming of Whiplash’s confrontation with Tony Stark on the Monte Carlo racetrack.

“At the time I was there, they were shooting the Monte Carlo scene where Mikey Rourke as Whiplash comes out on to the track and starts tearing up cars and basically Tony’s car gets destroyed,” said Layton. “It was pretty action-packed."

"We got to blow up some stuff that day and that was pretty fun, too," he added. "I got to go behind the scenes and meet the stunt people and they made me an honorary stunt man. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to do anything.”

Layton also received an exclusive look at some of the finished special effect shots for the forthcoming film.

“The guys from the special effects unit took me to their trailer and showed me some of the stuff that they were working on which just blew me away," he said. "I had lunch with the cast and crew and just had a really great time there.”

“Here’s the thing that really impressed me," he added. "I went there kind of slack-jawed and in awe of meeting Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau and Mickey Rourke. [But] Jon and Robert and the entire cast and crew seemed to be more fans of me than me of them.”

“They were so incredibly respectful and they had read all the comics and knew the stuff backwards and forwards. I was blown away by it," he laughed. "They treated me like I was visiting royalty. I had an absolutely tremendous time. They’ve been incredibly respectful and terrific as far as me and my contributions to the history of the character.”

Anya Monzikova has been cast in Iron Man 2 being directed by Jon Favreau. Due out on the 7th of May in 2010, Anya will play Rebekah in the movie that centers around inventor Tony Stark and his determination to avoid sharing his inventions and brilliant knowledge with the Government!

As a biography Anya Monzikova, Iron Man 2 actress, was born in the year 1984. Her exact date of birth is unknown. Anya Monzikova is a native of Vologda, Russia. A WUSHU Martial Artist and actress, Anya first began her acting career dates back to when she was cast in the movie Gigi in 2005.

Since then Anya Monzikova has appeared in Deal or No Deal, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Love as a model. In 2007, Anya took on a guest role in the TV series Medium before appearing in Cane and CSI: Miami. Monzikova has also been seen in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

During 2008, Anya found other work on the set of the movie Tropic Thunder in an unaccredited role before going on to appear in ‘Life’ in the role of Lex. In the same year Monzikova would go on to secure roles in Playing With Five as Marie and grab two episode guest role in the TV series Knight Rider.

Most recently the blonde Russian Iron Man 2 actress has starred in the Bruce Willis movie Surrogates as well as her already above mentioned upcoming role as Rebekah.

Iron Man 2 Movie Poster: War Machine Revealed

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment have premiered the first official movie poster for Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2 on Yahoo. A poster usually means that a trailer isn’t far off. The new poster plays off the number 2 and features Iron Man back-to-back with War Machine. Favreau previously hinted on his twitter account that we might see the first trailer for Iron Man 2 attached to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, which hits theaters on Christmas Day. Check out the full poster below.

Here is what we know about the film so far:

    * Sam Rockwell plays a fast-talking weapons manufacturer named Justin Hammer, “who fancies himself the next Tony Stark”. He sells Stark the weapons he uses to construct War Machine.
    * Mickey Rourke plays Russian criminal Vanko, who creates his own battle-suit while incarcerated in a Soviet prison.
    * Whiplash’s suit “shoots devastating, whip-like beams.”
    * Hammer and Whiplash join forces to take on Stark/Iron Man.
    * Scarlett Johansson plays Russian superspy Natasha Romanoff (aka the Black Widow), who is hired as Stark’s assistant which inevitably sparks romantic tension between Stark and former assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who’s been promoted to CEO of Stark Industries.
    * Tony is trying to learn more about his father’s mysterious past, specifically the Stark Expo, which must “play a major role in the energy crisis, which is a chief issue in the film.”

Iron Man 2 will hit theaters on May 7th 2010.

Iron Man 2 Armor Graces Empire Magazine Cover

Way back in April we got our first official look at the highly-anticipated comic book sequel, Iron Man 2, in the form of an image of Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) in what appears to be his “Hall of Armor” room. From then on we’ve slowly and surely been getting more looks at the superhero sequel, from Mickey Rourke as villain Whiplash, to Scarlet Johansson as the Black Widow.

Everything has looked great so far, and that trend continues with this latest image, courtesy of the guys over at Empire.

Empire has an exclusive new image of Tony Stark in the famous red and gold suit as the center-piece of their January 2010 cover. On top of the awesomeness of seeing the Iron Man suit in all its high quality glory (do you really need more than that? :P ), there’s also some hinting at the film’s villain, Whiplash, by way of the Empire lettering being done in the style of electricity. It’s very cool indeed and… oh I’ll stop and just let you get a good look for yourself.

Pretty awesome, huh? On top of this new image, the Empire issue will also feature some brand new behind-the-scenes photos from the movie, and will be available this Thursday (tomorrow) to buy. These guys really get some great stuff – particularly killer images like the one above – and so they should, as they’re fantastic at what they do (I’ve been a loyal reader for years).

Like so many of you out there, I really can’t wait for Iron Man 2. Not just because the first one was good (not The Dark Knight good, but still… oohh, did I say something wrong? :P ), but all the elements seem to be coming together perfectly (at least as far as we can tell as outsiders looking in):

Along with seeing the return of Robet Downey Jr. as the titular hero, there’s also the addition of both Rourke and Johansson as Whiplash and the Black Widow, respectively. Add to that Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer and Don Cheadle (replacing Terrence Howard) as Col. Rhodes/War Machine, and all that great casting is enough reason for me to see this film. But there’s also the general feeling that the sequel will be “bigger and better” than the first, and by the looks of what we’ve seen that’s been a grand accomplished by Favreau and Co.

Summer 2010 can’t get here fast enough!

Apparently Odin's chamber for 'Thor' wasn't the only Marvel movie peek Brian Michael Bendis got this week. He also says he saw "Iron Man 2." That must mean Jon Favreau's overtime editing hours are paying off. The film's director has been so busy during barbershop business hours lately that he's been forced to Flowbee his own haircuts.

In other Twitterverse news, Stan Lee completed a pitch for a new mystery program on Cartoon Network. 'Iron Man 2' Starting to 'Take Its Final Look'

Jon Favreau has just given an update on "Iron Man 2". On Sunday, November 15, the helmer took it to his Twitter page to announce that the film is starting to enter its final phase. "Digital animated shots starting to come in. The movie is beginning to take on it's final look," he wrote.

Previously, Favreau spilled a detail of the "Iron Man" sequel when talking about the inclusion of War Machine in the film. "Then we have Don Cheadle. We've upped Rhodey's significance in the film and now I think the cat's out of the bag about War Machine, so he's in that suit. How does he become War Machine? What's his relationship to Iron Man?" he stated.

Later, Sam Rockwell, who will be seen as Justin Hammer in the second movie, also addressed the War Machine. "Don and I, we're working together. He works with me in spite of some of my personality flaws," he said on the relationship between his Tony Stark's rival character and Cheadle's Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes. "Don's character, Rhodey, needs to work with me. He has no choice. So we team up and we build this fabulous War Machine."

In "Iron Man 2", Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are back to reprise their roles as Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Joining the star-studded cast ensemble are Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson. Penned by Justin Theroux, the film eyes a May 7, 2010 release date in the U.S.

When "Iron Man 2" actor Sam Rockwell dropped by Splash Page HQ recently, we asked him about the relationship between his character (rival industrialist Justin Hammer) and Don Cheadle's character (Stark's military buddy James "Rhodey" Rhodes). After all, they seemed pretty chummy in the "Iron Man 2" trailer that premiered during Comic-Con in San Diego this year.

"Don and I, we're working together," said Rockwell of the pair's relationship. "He works with me in spite of some of my personality flaws."

Pressed for more details about those "personality flaws," Rockwell called Hammer "a bit of a shark." According to the actor, Hammer's relationship with Rhodes is one of necessity, not of choice.

"Don's character, Rhodey, needs to work with me. He has no choice," said Rockwell. "So we team up and we build this fabulous War Machine."

Knowing that his character played an integral role in creating the War Machine armor, one would think he'd take advantage of the opportunity to try it on. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be.

"I really wanted to, but Don wouldn't let me," said Rockwell.

Don Cheadle Dishes on 'Iron Man 2'

In next year's 'Iron Man 2,' Don Cheadle, who takes over for Terrence Howard in the sequel, says the movie's technical complexities were an unforeseen challenge for the veteran actor.

"The special effects, the amount of things that happen, the amount of CGI," Cheadle told Moviefone at Thursday's Ante Up for Africa event outside L.A., to benefit Darfur charities. "It's like getting to play with the best toys at the best level.

"I think the character that I play, my CGI character worked as much as I worked," reveals Cheadle, who plays Col. Jim Rhodes and War Machine in the movie. "The stuntman worked as much as I worked. It's a huge undertaking. It was great. It was a really different experience than I have worked on before. Robert [Downey Jr.] is a great guy to work with. Jon Favreau, everybody is quality. It's a lot of fun, the series."

Cheadle is also signed for the same role in the upcoming 'Avengers,'but Cheadle says that movie is "down the road."

A controversy that has dogged Cheadle since signing onto 'Iron Man 2' last October was his replacing of his pal Howard, who was not asked back for the second one, reportedly because of a money disagreement.

Cheadle said Thursday of taking over for Howard, "The sort of ancillary buzz around it was kind of weird, kind of strange. Terrence is a friend of mine. But the actual playing it, I just felt like it was my role. I wasn't made to feel like I had to sort of take care of what was done before. I really feel like I could make it my own."

Cheadle's Ante Up for Africa event, which was attended by friends Marlon Wayans, George Lopez, Cheryl Hines, and Mekhi Phifer, was co-hosted by poker pro Annie Duke, to benefit Darfur charities. It is the second annual Ante Up for Africa.

Stan Lee in Iron Man 2

Stan Lee has lots of roles in Marvel movies. It was great [and funny] to see him in Marvel movies based on comics he created, especially in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, when he was not invited in Reed and Sue's wedding! Stan Lee was seen attempting to enter the celebration! B-)

So, here's a movie news from ReelzChannel regarding Stan Lee in Iron Man 2:

In July, word got out that Stan Lee's cameo in Iron Man 2 would be as either CNN newsman Larry King or as someone asking Robert Downey Jr. (as Tony Stark) when he would appear on King's show. Lee confirmed with MTV that he would indeed be playing King.

Stan Lee said,
"For some reason, they wanted me to wear suspenders and heavy glasses, and they treated me as though I was Larry King. So I finally, for the first time in my life, felt like I was a celebrity."

Trivia
The Black Widow appears in the 2005 The Punisher video game for one level, as a non-playable character (NPC) who fights alongside the Punisher.
